Well my brother is 11 and my mom just told me about his progress report and it was bad. His SS grade was i believe like a 55 so far and the teacher says that he is very talkative and disruptive in class. He says it is because of other kids in the room which gets him going. I told him to ignore them and pay attention. He rarely does his homework and has an essay he never did. i tell him when he gets home to do his homework but when he does come home he says that he finished it at school. He also never completes all the homework. He has had a history of lying to the family. I saw some unfinished work that he never completed so i told him to finish to make sure he knew it because most of his test have been in the 50’s but than he told me his teacher does not care but i told him that the family cares and i told him i don’t want to see him fail the 6th grade and be lazy in high school and accomplish nothing and flipping burgers all the time. All he does is go to his room and plays video games or watches tv. We also try to get him to do chores to help us out because the rest of the family works but he just says no and goes to his room. He thinks the whole world revolves around him. What are some things that i can do to get him to start doing his homework again and not fail.

like create your own beats? Have pre recorded music on there for those who don’t know how to play an instrument? I want to be a singer of some sort. Probably pop and/or pop country music (country that’s more current. Not the old tractor hillbilly stuff). I don’t know how to play an instrument but can sing reletivley well. So I want to make songs for a demo and send it to record companies of some sort. I know I know. It’s hard to make it in music and I probably won’t make it big. But how will I know if I don’t try? So anyway, that’s a program I need. I’d like it to be pretty cheap too. Not like $10 piece of crap stuff. I mean like fairly priced. Maybe $50 to $70. If you guys find a program I’ll like that’s cheaper or maybe a little more expensive then what I’m askig then list it too. Also I’d like something to edit my voice as well. Not completly edit. But you know how in a pop song there are parts you can tell it’s edited? Like the beginning part of Kayne West’s STRONGER? That kinda thing. This is greatly appriciated.

Open Question: Should I be liable for counseling sessions between my ex and daughter?

Here is the skinny. My 7 year old divroce decree says that we will split medical expenses for the kids. My ex-wife and my 13 year old daughter have not been getting along so they are going to see a therapist. However, my ex is implying that I will be paying for 50% of the costs. I don’t feel this is fair because it is her choice to go to the counseling and I am not to be included in it. I am sure the decree meant things like dentists and things like that and not for me to be liable for paying for my ex to get along with my daughter.

Open Question: Neighbors cigarette smoke traveling through oil baseboard heaters. How can I fix this?

Other than move. Because I just cant afford that now. And no, it is not a non smoking building so I cant ask my landlord to really do much. I am just looking for solutions to fix this if possible.
I am asking here because I thought other renters may have experienced these problems and came up with a solution, and landlords own homes so they must know something about this…
I located the entrance in the wall for the pipes, and there was a big hole there, I didnt feel the cigarette smell was actually coming through that… but with permission I sealed it with foam spray anyway. It didnt fix the problem. The smell is really strong and I noticed its really bad on the long silver metal piece on top of the pipe (my apologies, I know little about these) I am guessing this is where the heat comes from and theres no way to keep the smoke out?
I need a solution for this. Even if I can cut the smell back by 50% I’ll manage. The problem is constant as the people down stairs are home a lot and smoke frequently. And believe me, I have tried plenty of things. Everything from candles, to air purifiers (only blew the smoke around) to crazy home remedies such as vinegar in bowls.
I appreciate any suggestions, I am just out of ideas.
