For as long as I can remember me and my dad have never really got on.

I’m 22, I have a good job with career aspects, I have a decent car, I’ve got A levels and a boyfriend.

But no matter what I do, he always has a go at me for stupid things.

Example: After work, at night, i go round to my boyfriends. He doesn’t like this, says I’m ruining the relationship – we’ve been going out for over a year so i can’t be ruining it that much can i?
When he asks me where I’m going I say I’m going to Lee’s (Lee’s my BF) N he says in a mocking voice “I’m going to Leeeeeee’s!!! Going to Leeeeee’s!!!!” even though that sounds so petty – imagine having this conversation almost every night !!! And he calls my bf, he says he’s fat, stupid then he says cause of this we are well suited!! (He’s not fat nor stupid!) Yet to by bf’s face he’s all nicey nicey to him!

It was my mum’s 50th Birthday a few weeks ago, and me, my bf, my mum, dad, my sister and her BF all went for a family meal. A few days before the meal, my dad turned round to me and said that I’m not going to the meal as it’s family only!
I was crushed when he said that. I went round to my bf’s in absolute histerics. I rang my sister (whose 24 and left home) and told her what he said to me. She rang him up and told him off for upsetting me. He told her he was joking!! Well I didn’t find it remotely funny – would you?

For my mums 50th He took her away to Spain. My sister and her bf also went. I had to stay at home with the dog. While they were away he rang me telling me how hot it was etc. And I said “well if you let me put the dog in kennels I would be there now” And he said “Well its a good job I didn’t then!” There was no humour in his voice, no sarcasam. He was being serious.

When I was younger he would hit me if I was naughty. One time I pee’d myself I was that scared of him – I was 15 when that happened as well.

He tries to hit me nowadays, but doesn’t (which I think is because he knows i’ll hit back)

He keeps asking me when i’m moving out. I would move out tomorrow if I had a deposit!!! He has kicked me out once, last year. I stayed with a friend for a few nights then he called and apologised saying he is going to change. I stupidily believed him. Everything was fine for a few months – then right back to his nasty ways.

He’l say snide comments like “Oooo i think i’ll take your mum, sister and bf out for a nice meal on the weekend!” But not me.

I’m sorry this is long, but I didn’t you to know these points. There are plently more things he does to upset me but these are the main ones that have happened or does happen recently.

Please can you give me your opinion on why he hates me so much?

My mum sits by at lets him say this stuff to me. She doesn’t say anything (well not infront of me anyway!).

ok, so i think i have ocd…..
i say stuff to myself in my head and make myself do stuff and be like ‘if i do this, then something good will happen’ (i always say what good thing will happen, but dont have an example)
and i will just make myself do crazy stuff like lock the door ten times or count to seven 50 times and stuff like that…
and btw, would having OCD have anything to do with having low self-esteem??? cuz i have really low self-esteem!!!!

Okay guys, im completely stuck on my geometry homework. I need help, if you could EXPLAIN (this meaning i want to understand how you did it, not just the answer) how to do these problems i would appreciate it so much!

summary of what happened: basically, every morning there is this dog that barked at me whenever i walked past it, so this morning i tried to avoid it by crossing the road to walk on the grass verge, when i was about to walk past it, it started to cross… only to get hit by a people carrier.

as you can see the driveway, that is where the dog lived and sat outside, whenever you walked past him, he barked, so i crossed the road to the grass verge only for him to follow and get hit. the most sad part about it was that i saw his tail wagging, so i figure he was only about to say hello. poor thing.
i feel guilty, i want to get the owners flowers to make them feel a little better and to say sorry but people are unpredictable and i don’t know if they might throw them back in my face or not. i would tell my mum, but my nan is here and she is nosey.
so…

should i get flowers?
should i tell my mum despite my nan being here?
whose fault is it? is it mine for crossing the road, is it the drivers fault for not stopping in time (albeit there was no time to stop)? or the owners for being irresponsible, letting their dog out next to a busy road?
also, could i go to jail when the fact is all i did was cross the road?

Not a religious nut here, just pointing something out. Agnostics can look into religions too, yes?

While the concept of a worldwide flood is nonsensical, the Ark itself is not. (Sort of…?)

I have seen people say the Ark is impossible because there are so many species of animals. Like, over 50,000 species of frogs, for example. Although here is where the flaw is. While Christians do not believe in macroevolution, they do (Or should) believe in microevolution. So, in this case there would only need to be one type of horse. A few different kinds of cats, two dogs, a couple dozen kinds of birds…things like that. While of course that amount of microevolution in that short amount of time is also nonsensical, you have to remember Christian logic is different then normal logic.

Christians and atheists, your views?
Microevolution is evolution in one species, but not changing into another. You do know the difference, right?
According to Christian logic they all pranced out of the Garden of Eve.
Actually I can quite easy define a ‘kind’ of ape.

Random question lol, but she was on Radio 1 yesterday and she really made me laugh but at the same time I couldn’t help think she loved being centre the of attention. I mean she is is FIT but one thing that I thought a bit contradicting was that she said she wouldn’t write and sing a song that she wouldn’t want to sing when she’s 50. Then I thought, this is coming from the girl who sings ‘I kissed a girl and I liked it, the taste of her cherry chaptick’ I can’t imagine her singing this when she’s 50 lol. Anyway it’s just a bit of fun, what are your thoughts on Katy Perry and also her relationship with Russel Brand.

My 74 year old father in law was just diagnosed with 5 Brain Tumors, Lymph node Cancer & Lung Cancer. He has smoked for 50 years and is currently smoking 3 to 5 packs a day. The doctors said everything is inoperable and the nurses and doctors said that even they wouldn’t go through the radiation therapy or anything. They gave him 2 months to live..that was a month ago. He starting to ramble, forget things, stumble, fall down, etc…relatives are saying the time is very near…maybe within a week. Does anybody have any insight into this? I don’t want him suffering and if they are most likely correct, then i know he will pass soon ans be out of his misery. Hes using Morphine like crazy and a few other pain meds and patches too. He keeps saying hes ready to go and be with his wife (she passed 2 years ago). Any insight out info on the outlook would be helpful. Please state where you opinions are derived from…ie..are you a nurse, doctor, cancer specialist, etc…
UPDATE BASED ON ANSWERS: He cant go for walks because he can only go a few feet before he falls. He doesnt leave the house or want too. He runs into everything on his left side because he suffered a mild stroke too…he also has had a mild heart attack in the past 3 weeks. He is down to 139 lbs. He bruises and cuts easily. His spirits arent too bad in the morning but he “fades” as the day goes on. I havent found anybody, even Hospice that gives him more than 30 days.
