Open Question: Am I going crazy…or am I right?

My boyfriend & I have been dating for a little over 6 years. We have been living together for almost 3 & a half years. I thought we would be engaged if not married by now when we first moved in together. We bought a house together 5 months ago. We have a ring picked out. There is $50 left on it he says its better that the jeweler keeps it till he’s ready its safe there. But still makes comments about “marriage is stupid its just a piece of paper.” “Why would I get married when I have everything I want it won’t change anything” etc.
I told him on Saturday he will “miss me when I’m gone” we got in a bit of a fight about, he said if I leave don’t come back. I promise I wouldn’t be coming back!! I told him everyone told me he wouldn’t respect me marry me unless he seen what he had. I haven’t worn my promise ring (that I wore for over 5 years from him since our anniversary. So needless to say I didn’t tell him but I picked a date. If he doesn’t propose by my date. I’m cutting my loses & leaving! I keep telling myself I’m going to do it!
It seems like so much has happened in the last 8 months I kept making excuses to myself why he hasn’t asked. (motorcycle wreck, bought a house, he got laid off, I worked 2 full time jobs, the death of his father, speeding ticket where he is going to lose his license.) I’m always there to pick up the pieces. I thought that would make him want to be with me more.
I know marriage isn’t going to “fix” everything in the world but for me it seems like its the next step. My mom was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she was in her very early 30’s my parents wanted 6 kids. Only ended up with 2. I have already had abnormal cells in my paps test. I’m so scared to turn into my mother before I even have any kids. My mom tells me all the time her biggest regret was not marrying my dad when he asked the first time. They would have had more time to have kids.
I’m 22. Now I want to be married & have a baby before the age of 25. Thats only 3 & a half years away.
Am I crazy for wanting all this or am I right?
I told my boyfriend I want to take the next step but not really why…. He isn’t sure if he wants kids some days he does some days he doesn’t. I feel like the next couple months if not weeks are going to change alot….I’m scared but I feel like I need to look out for myself!! I love him with all my heart. I’m scared to be with out. But I don’t want to miss out on what I have wanted since I was a little girl.
Any advice. I’m really looking for something to make me think I’m doing the right thing and/or where to go next?
I do believe he is scared to have kids since his father did pass away. & when he was a kid his father was working non stop so his mom didn’t have to. He missed out on so much with his dad. I don’t know if he knows how to be a dad…..but if he had a baby in his arms or got to watch my belly move & grow it would be different. I know we aren’t ready now. But thats what being engaged, getting married etc builds up to
I told him I shouldn’t have to ask/nag about being proposed to. I want him to want to marry me. I try not to talk about it with anyone hoping that time will take its course things will happen when they happen. Its just so hard to walk into a room with family/friends, & the first thing they do is check my hand. Or ask when are you getting that ring. I told him I’m going to hurt some one the first time some one says finally & not congrats.

Open Question: Should I worry that my daughter is 6 going on 50?

She is just a little too responsible for my tastes. She is like a little nazi when it comes to being places on time. She is always telling me to behave myself and she tells me things like stop walking on the grass dad etc… To be honest she is like the mother hen with the other kids. This morning she got up feed her brother got him ready for school and when I came in the room she was yelling at him for not holding still while she was brushing his hair. Anybody else have a child that behaves this way, is it something to be concerned about, or should I try to discourage this behavior?

Open Question: Pekingese/Spaniel Mix information?

Hi everyone!
I’m looking @ adopting a dog & my family is loving the Pekingese/Spaniel mixed dog we found in a shelter. We were wondering some things about the mix:
1) What is it’s health like?
2) What is it’s demeanor around humans & other pets?
3) Is it fairly simple to train?
4) Is it energetic or more laid back?
5) What is its life expectancy?
I realize I can go look up a pekingese & a spaniel & play the guessing game (take 50% of each trait from each dog), but I’d love answers from dog lovers who know this information more in-depth. I watch dogs 101 on TV but I’ve never encountered this breed & we’d love a dog.

Open Question: If I work out 5x a week will I lose weight?

I am 5′ 2″ and I currently weight 173 pounds. I have very large boobs…so honestly a lot of this weight is there. But I have been doing 30-50 minutes of cardio 5x a week and i do some strength training and a few ab exercises. Will this allow me to lose weight? I have no will power when it comes to dieting but I can work out..so if I do not change my eating habits will it still work? the only thing I have changed would be that I no longer drink pop when I used to quite a bit. I want to be in a bikini by summer! What do you think?

Open Question: Why are TV stands for flat panel HDTV’s so overpriced?

Look on any website or go into any store and you are very unlikely to find a decent tv stand for under $100. You are even more unlikely to find one under $50. These things aren’t that big, but can cost as much as a cheap LCD TV.
Does anyone know of any web site that has decent prices on TV stands? Don’t say amazon.com, bestbuy.com, or overstock.com – I’ve checked those already and they too have pretty expensive TV stands. I just don’t think we should have to pay hundreds of dollars on something that we have to put together ourselves.

Hi, I’m taking part in an event at my University to raise money for a couple of charities with RAGS (raising and giving society). However, I want people to be able to donate money online. The thing is we have to give the money to the university, as we have to raise at least £50 each so can’t use websites such as just giving. I was wondering if there is any website I can use for people to donate money to my account and then I can take out the money and give it to the University. Please let me know. Thanks!

Open Question: For parents who are not married..how do you divide expenses for the child?

My baby’s father and I live together, but we are not married, so we don’t combine our income together. If I left it up to him, our baby would never get what she needs. When I go out and buy her a lot of stuff, he doesn’t offer to help me with the expense. Over the last week, I have spent about $150 on clothes and other things that she really needed. I told him I needed him to contribute and he asked how much. I think we should both contribute 50/50, but why do I feel like I have to play “let’s make a deal” when it comes to our daughter’s expenses? Btw, I am the responsible one and I am very careful with my money. I don’t go out and spend money just to be spending it.

Its my mum’s 50th birthday today, We just found out from immigration that my Gran has to leave the country because she can’t stay any longer and they wont let her.. As much as she annoys me, i love her and i dont want her to go.. Mum got her a smiley face teddy and when u push the button it sings “dont worry, be happy..” She plays it every night so she can fall asleep.. She doesnt want to leave us either.. Then I found out that one of my friends who i really care about has gone to be with his dad after a heart attack.. i wanna be there for him too but he wont let me and i feel so helpless..
im not sure what to say and i dont want to annoy him, he has other things to worry about..
My ex and i broke up recently and i found out that he was cheating on me with another girl overseas coz he travels alot and he’s had relationships with men.. he then denied to all our friend that we were ever together AFTER asking me to move in with him.. and after i got really close to his 5yr old daughter..
nothing seems to be going right…

Open Question: will i have to cycle my new fish tank?

i already have a 20 gallon tank but i want a 50 gallon one as i want more fish. the thing is i want to put the new tank where i have my 20 gallon one in my bedroom, but i cant do that because i cant exactly move a full fish tank. and i dont think there is anywhere downstairs i can put it.
so what i want to know is can i use the water in my 20 gallon fish tank and put that in the 50 gallon one, top it up. and the gravel from my tank and again top that up then add my fish. i can also use my filter and another filter.
and will my fish be ok if i add them all at the same time. i mean they arent exactly going into uncycled water. they are still going to be in the same water they have been used to for the past 2 to 3 months
