I just got vuze… and my friend can search something and get tons of results… and then i only get 50 for anything. we searched the same thing and got totally different results… hers awesome, mine sucked. how do i make it so that i can have more than 50 results???
Why are fathers(some, please don’t get the wrong impression) seem to be some what useless. When ever you watch a certain movie, the father is either dead without achieving something good, leaving the mother and the children alone in agony, or whether the father likes to drink and treats his wife and or children horribly.
My dad is fifty one years old, no job, sit home all day:sleep, watch TV, find some unnecessary things to cause trouble. To tell the truth, deep down inside me, i love my dad till death. BUT ninety nine percent of the time, each and every day of my life, i think to myself “i hate him”. Reason being is, because of him i pretty much have no social life. I wake up in the morning about to go to school, not knowing what is ahead of me, yet thinking everything is going to be ok, but then when the picture of his face pops up in my head EVERYTHING turns around in a blink of an eye. My mom goes to work 24/7, my mom provides food in the house, she provide our school fees, she provides cloths we wear, but at the end of the day she cries to my older sister about how things are going bad but she doesn’t always want me to notice. Am only sixteen years old and as long as i could remember, my dad used to be ok(when i was little), i remember him always buying things for me and such(of course thats not going to be happening forever), but few years later everything started changing, at first, i thought it was ok because young males needs their father to influence them “to be strong”(i totally DISAGREE with that,me and my siblings lived with my mom for seven years, while he traveled) he starts arguing with me over a little thing, he starts yelling at my mom and everyone, then when we are outside the house, he tries to act nice. Because of him, we are living each and every day of our lives thinking we are going to get kicked out of the house( I’ve always knew we weren’t all that rich from the start, but in order to achieve something in life you must work for it, which he isn’t), most of the time when we go out together alot of people tell us i resemble him, am always embarrassed of this.
To me, in my personal opinion, 50% of the time, men are the reason why females are emotional(aside from the female hormone). Although as soon as i step out of the house, everything changes, my grades are excellent at school, the way people see me is different, but when i get in the house, i feel depressed all of a sudden.
Now what i need to know is, is there a way this can stop, like if i try to advice or talk to him?. My mom ALWAYS talk to him but he never listens. Does the way a person is brought up while he/she was little affects the way he/she acts in the future? because my dad was brought up in a really strict and religious family. Or is it a mental problem, at times i think of this, because he just pops out of no where acting crazy(he doesn’t drink).
Is this a good book(chapter 2-4).
The Sand Sea
He wondered for days what it meant. He did research on the Sword Desert where he lived, the only ancient thing he could find was the words, Swordhaven, Deathbite, and the Deathanater. Then, he called a girl who was the only one left who can speak and write in swordinesiest. Kilado set up an appointment for her to see him. A couple days later, someone knocked on his door, it was a young and skinny looking girl. Her name was Jynx. She said that someone set up an appointment. Kilado ran to the door. He brought the note. He asked her to read it to him, she said yes. She looked at it and started reading it. “Long ago, the ancients of sword haven fought a mysterious enemy called the deathbite and his agents of destruction, the deathanater. The warriors could only defeat the deathbite was when they launched ?deathbite with its greatest? weakness, LIGHT! Then, ?gods of Swordhaven feared that this enemy would come back. They hid an all-powerful blade that could destroy the deathbite. This “Meda-Blade” was hidden so only the chosen one may find it. The gods sent their strongest 4 warriors out to guard it. It is? said that this cryptic riddle un-locks it’s location,” It is hidden beneath the leaves of fire”. The Deathbite is back!” Kilado thought that he was the chosen one. So, Jynx offered to help Kilado on this great journey. 2 days later, they were packed and ready to go. Jynx had a map so they were completely ready. The map said to go to the sand sea, which was 200 miles away. They walked and walked for so long until this sandy ninja jumped out of the desert sand and tried to attack! Kilado punched like he punched the rock! This ninja flew until he was out of sight. They walked some more until they reached a sign that said “SAND SEA ?”. They reached a cave that lead to the sand sea. Along the way the paths split. They choose left. They walked some more. Al of a sudden, the path broke! A big hole appeared! Kilado almost fell down! They went back and went to right. Some light came the path; they made it to the sand sea! They walked along the huts and pyramids till they saw the inn. They rested there for a day and moved on to find the next location, Lumbria.
Chapter 3
The Ninjas
They looked at the map, it said to go to Lumbria, which was 50 miles away. They started walking out of the inn, when Jynx bumped a man next to a quad. The man was all right. “I’m so sorry sir.” Jynx said. “No problemo.” The man said. “Where you guys headin’ to with all that stuff?” he asked. “Lumbria, why?” We said. “Well, if you want, I could drive you there with my quad” an offered. “You would? Thank you!” We said.
“The names Jak” he said he got on his quad, put his helmet on, and said “hop on”.
Finally, we drove in this forest with billions and millions of trees, wood huts on top of the trees, and bugs, lots of them. All of a sudden, 3 green ninjas appeared. They kind of looked like the one in the desert, but green. They shot out leaves, toxic leaves. Jynx stuffed her hand into her pocket. She had a curvy dagger. She threw it at the ninja in the middle, it hit him, and it flew back like a boomerang. 2 ninjas left to go! Jack ran up to one of the ninjas, and punched him right in the face! One left to go! Kilado punched the ground and a huge earthquake began! A tree fell on the last of the ninjas. The three ran to the nearest tree. They sat down and looked at the map. The next area is Frundrake, which was 190 miles away. “Ouch! It feels like something’s biting me!” said Jynx “Ouch! Me too!” said Jak They ran away as fast as they could away from the ants. They ran to a hut, fortunately, it was an inn. They went inside the in, there was a man, a man in a cloak. “I’ve gotten you now!” the man exclaimed He took Jynx away! He ran in front of the inn and jumped on a black car. He took hand cuffs and cuffed Jynx and taped her mouth shut.
Chapter 4
Rescuing Jynx
Jak and Kilado ran after the mysterious man. They jumped on the quad while chasing this mysterious man. They chased and chased the man. “Let her go!” yelled Kilado “NEVER!” yelled the man “Well, I’ll let her go, to death!” The man turned and went toward a cliff. He stopped right in front of the cliff. He held Jynx down to the cliff. “Bye, little girl”. Kilado and Jak ran as fast as they could to save Jynx. Right before Jak and Kilado made it, hweeeooof. Jynx was flying down the cliff. The man was laughing and laughing. Kilado dived down to save Jynx. Jak and the man started fighting. Right before Jynx and Kilado hit the ground….. A rock climber grabbed on to them! The rock climber smiled “You two going sky diving?” he laughed back at the top of the cliff, Jak pushed the man on the ground, Jak asked, “Who are you and what do you want?” “I’m no one, and I want nothing.” He said “What do you mean “No one”?” The man took of his cloak; his body was an entire pool of darkness! “Well, I only want one
want them there? I have a brother & he’s clueless about the way life works. He is 50 years old but kind of still like a kid, even though he has had kids himself. He has a menial job as a cleaner & did not raise his kids well (too controlling) so they have now shunned him (they are 24 & 25). He cannot do basic adult things, like drive a car. He really does kind of remind me of a child and is a bit “simple” (I guess would be the polite way of putting it). He brings up embarrasing things socially, like he’ll say how he failed his exams and that’s why he works as a cleaner, etc & things that most people wouldn’t bring up. Well I and my other siblings are all managers in the corporate world & hang out with people like that. I socialise with my brother & his wife but just us together, I would feel uncomfortable to get them together with my friends. For one thing they have nothing in common & my brother would only be offended at my friends reactions to things that he says (like raised eyebrows, or pointing out that what he’s said doesn’t actually make sense, etc). They are dropping more & more hints about coming out with me & my friends socially as they just have each other & that’s it. My other siblings pretty much have nothing to do with them (well they say hello at the supermarket, etc, if they see him, but they don’t ever have him round to their house, etc). What can I do? It really is his fault as him & his wife need to go out & join things & make their own friends (which they won’t do & in all honesty I think they’d fail due to their poor social skills & odd behaviour I’m guessing people will reject them). They really need to grow up & observe how they come across to other people & learn to make their own friends, but if I try to gently point this out I don’t see it going down too well. God I’m only 30 so shouldn’t be expected to hang out with 50 years olds anyway. We have all tried to gently tell them that their overcritical attitude towards their kids is what has driven their kids away, but they can’t see that they are like that towards their kids. It’s like they aren’t intelligent enough to be able to use self observation & just continually go throughout their lives repeating the same old patterns. I know all of this might sound mean, but it’s the honest truth.
Er, Arian, did you even read this? I do make time for them whereas my other relatives don’t. It’s just that I don’t want to get them together with my friends.
Excuse me Riva, I’ve worked very hard to get where I am thank you very much & I don’t like corporations either, I just have to work in one & I don’t live in America. This relative has had more opportunities than I have, for one thing he went to a private school & I didn’t. He just doesn’t try, whether socially or at work. And where did I say I hated him? Can’t you read? We have all been trying to help him get back together with his kids. That was his fault, not ours or his kids. And we live in a judgemental world honey, get used to it.

Question 2: Why do the ‘socialist’ blue states tend to have higher GDP per capita? They also tend to have higher income taxes. Note: NJ spends more than any state on public education per student.

Question 3: After the war, Roosevelt signed the GI Bill, which made public university education affordable for homecoming soldiers. If you could go back in time and change things, would you block passage of this bill and let the free market decide who goes to college? Even though the bill obviously lead to economic growth, esp. in the tertiary sector?
You say Supply-side economics does not work.
Well lets look at its successes in history.
The most recent was under President Clinton. President Clinton cut government spending, passed the largest capital gains tax cut, pushed NAFTA through, passed wellfare reform, and got rid of the retirement earnings test for Social Security. The only thing he did which was not supply-side economcis was raise taxes to pay for defcits… Hmmm…. Wow that’s a recent success, too bad hardcore conservatives never admit it, even though its a clear contradiction of Liberal policies. Well we must give credit to the Republican congress which controled the buget and stopped Clinton’s former dream of high spending…
In 1948, Ludwig Erhard put supply-slide economics, or aka Reaganomics, to the test in Western Germany. He introduced an economic shock therapy completely in line with Reaganomics. He abolished rationing and price-controls, although he restricted his own power with this measure. Erhard believed in the self regulation of the market and not the liberal belief in government regulation. Later on Erhard, as secretary for the economy, cut the high marginal tax rate in two steps: first from 95% to 63% and afterwards to 53%. The first 8000 DM earned became tax free.
Erhard’s leadership allowed Germany to rebuild at an economic pace never seen before. Ludwig Erhard is a perfect example of conservatism in another nation. There’s a reason why he’s called the “Father of the Wirtschaftswunder”…
After Reagan, the theory of supply-side economics was applied in numerous countries. In Iceland, David Oddson became prime minister in 1991. He inherited a poorly performing economy burdened by heavy income taxes. He lowered the corporate tax rate from 50% to 30%. During the next five years the economy grew by 5% per year. Government income did not fall and social outlays could be maintained. He too is another great example of this success.
Ireland is another example. In 1987 this country was the “sick man” of Europe, with a public debt of 135 % of GDP. After the elections of 1987 a new economic policy was introduced. Corporate tax rate was reduced from 32% to 12.5% and capital gains tax was lowered from 40% to 20%. Ireland is now the fastest growing country of the European Union. Japan, on the other hand, is a classic example of the failure of a Liberal demand-side policy. The economy has been in shambles for many years and public debt has risen to a gigantic 170% of GDP. All because in the early 1990’s they bailed out many banks which were collapsing. What happened in Japan is happening now… Don’t believe me? Check out http://www.voxeu.org/index.php?q=node/2483 for yourself…
This type of success can also be seen in the Czech Republic and in Hong Kong before the Chinese took over… Look it up…
And last but not least, Reagan, who gave us 18 million new jobs, trippled the GDP, reduced poverty, stopped inflation, stopped the gas crisis, doubled revenues to the government, and gave us a booming economy.
Reagan, like Clinton, reduced poverty-something you liberals seem to deny. IRS reports prove this to be true… In the end, supply-side economics work and were not the leading cause of our economic disaster in 1929 or 2008…

You liberal idiots proved my point. instead of coming back with facts, you anser like angry children, tisk, tisk… Checkmate, we conservatives win.
Having weird conversational skills, sulking about your life to others. Mood swings, depression, getting angry about little things and taking your anger out on the wrong person. Always stressing out about the same thing. Being jealous and abusive towards those closest to you as well as trying to control them. I have a 50 year old relative who behaves like this.
He does not have low self-esteem and is not suicidal. In fact quite the opposite, thinks highly of himself and wants to hurt others.
